hello san francisco

Beauties, sorry that I haven't been around for a couple of weeks. Life just got really crazy for me...but in a good way. I got a new job (hooray!!!) and took a celebratory trip to the west coast before I started.

Last week I spent a few days hanging out in San Francisco.
And when I say hanging out, I mean eating. I hit up the legendary Tartine Bakery, compared ice cream at San Fran spots like Bi-Rite Creamery and Humphrey Slocombe, treated myself to a decent dinner at Flour + Water and joined the Mister for an afternoon oyster and bubbly break at Hog Island Oyster Company.

Because I was in San Francisco, delicious Mexican food and dim sum were also on the menu. You know what else was on the menu....wine!
We took a day trip to Napa Valley to taste some amazing Cali Cabernet Sauvignons. The Mister and I did a limo trip with four adorable couples so that we could focus on the wine instead of the road. We went to a handful of vineyards but my favorite was Trefethen where we had the chance to explore the amazing wine, the grounds, and even taste an easy rosé straight from the barrels.
The Mister and I partied hard at our hotel, the Clift, on Saturday night so decided on a low key Sunday. Although I'm usually not a tour person we found these cute old boats at Fisherman's Wharf that allow BYOB tours of the bay, so we ended our trip checking out Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge with miniature bottles of sparkling wine in hand.

I loved my time in San Francisco and will definitely return for more food, wine and hopefully to explore the beauty that lies outside of the city (hello, cyrpess trees).

I'm back to business as usual now.

Cheers!
